2021.12.07 12:57 BUTWHOWASBOW Been taking a peek through the PAK files, found some interesting stuff. Spoilers, possibly.
Customisation:there's an unused Mason Vanguard helmet by the name of "HighlandClan_Helmet." Agathian Vanguards also have a "Highlander_Helmet." Neither are in game but there is something interesting they have in common, that's for a later segment though.
Weapons:Already mentioned the Highland Sword. A strange file named 'blockout' resides in the weapon folde though, no idea what it is.
Horses:There's a bunch of stuff for horses. Animations, physics, reactions, sounds, combat states, everything. No idea if any of it works, but it's clear that we are getting horses from all the stuff about them. Hell, you can parse the non-PAK files and see stuff related to horses, so I don't think they're going to be unused.
Maps/GameModes/Objectives:Casa Loma/Roma TO map. From what's in the files, it's just an old name for Lionspire. Rudhelm is also named Caste Siege in the files a few times. In the MapsTest folder there is also a prototype folder containing files for 'CasaRoma,' 'Coxwell,' and 'Darkforest.' Nothing interesting in them as far as I can tell.
Classes:Javelineer and Highlander sub-classes for Archer and Vanguard respectively. Highlander can use Exe-Axe, War-club, greatsword and highlander sword. Javelineer can use the Axe, Cudgel, Dagger, Falchion, Mace and Throwing axes. Likely the Javelins as well, since Skirmisher also doesn't have Javelins listed in their loadout. Possible the javelineer is just an old Skirmisher though. I believe the Highlander is a new class however.
Interesting stuff:Galencourts two gates are refered to as Portculis and Holy Gate (in order of objective.)
End:And that's all I found that was interesting. I could've gone a lot deeper into trying what certain things were, but I'm no coder. I just parsed everything and picked out some interesting things I found.

2021.12.07 12:57 Pulkoff Cheap permisionless liquidity pools?
I created a token for a project and would like to create a liquidity pool to allow trading. However, most DEX require you to create a Serum market in order to create the pool. Markets are good because they're fast and efficient but kinda expensive to create. I suppose this is caused by the order book needing a lot of account space.
Are there cheaper permisionless pools to do basic trading on Solana? I think that Uniswap style DEXes would be much cheaper to create as it barely uses any account space.

2021.12.07 12:57 your_local_stalker_ Does anyone else have struggles visualising the characters?
I say this as an artist, I have no god damn clue what these people look like. I know how other people see them and absolutely adore the fan art, but I don't know if I could ever give my own interpretation of the whole show. And I usually don't have much struggle visualising things, I can see things in my mind's eye but nope. Not the Magnus archives.
It sort of... Feels wrong to visualise a lot of it in a way? Like it's forbidden to give the voices a look? I have maybe some vague ideas, like how Elias sounds like he has an evil mustache and the very very long fingers that Michael has (and well Nikola is a mannequin).
To me, this podcast is just purely audio (duh), and it doesn't really provoke any visualisation from me. I wanted to know if anyone else feels the same

2021.12.07 12:57 jazztaprazzta Is the Tamron 17-70 f/2.8 coming to Fujifilm-X?
Yes yes it might be a sacrilegious question to some, but considering it looks like a nice standard zoom lens and Tamron already released 18-300 for Fuji-X.. how big is, in your opinion, the probability we’ll also see the 17-70 f/2.8 for Fuji-X?

2021.12.07 12:57 AndorsLion Am I making a false equivalency between pro-choice and anti-mandate arguments?
I'm kind of nervous posting this since I know both of these issues are very hot button - but that is the name of the subreddit, yea? As a disclaimer - I am a 27M, I am fully supportive of the vaccine, am pro-choice and am only trying to understand if I'm making a false equivalency or if this is truly hypocritical.
Second disclaimer - this is purely about the discussion around vaccine mandates - not the science behind the vaccine itself, nor does it have anything to do with abortions where there is a serious risk to the mother or any of the tragic cases where the baby is already dead or has some deformity where it will never survive.
Yesterday (I think, I cannot find the thread now) I saw a post on the front page from TwoXChromosomes about abortion / pro-choice. It was a long post, it got a lot of upvotes and a lot of very supportive comments. The argument presented in the post, from what I can remember, basically boiled down to "No matter what, no one has any right to a women's body." and I think I remember it saying something to the effect of, "It doesn't matter if the baby has a heartbeat or not, no one has the right to use a women's body for support without consent".
Browsing the subreddit and others, I am struggling to not see parallels between some anti-vaccine *mandate* arguments and pro-choice arguments. Both of them, at their core, come down to having an unalienable right to your own body. A lot of the arguments for vaccine mandates come down to "Even if you're not at risk, you need to protect the more vulnerable in the community." How is this not a similar argument to "Even though you did not intend to get pregnant, you need to protect the vulnerable life inside of you?"
Upon further reflection, it feels as if, in a world that made sense, that Pro-life and pro-mandate beliefs should line up and that Pro-choice and anti-mandate beliefs should line up. As the former declares that your right to protect another life outweighs your right to your own and the latter declares that no matter the circumstance, you have the right to make choices that affect your body.
I'd like to close by saying that the intention of this post is truly to try to learn and understand and not to make any bold, political statements. I debated a long time asking this, but how else am I supposed to grow and learn?
